Working Together for Inclusion & Belonging provides current information and resources addressing inclusive practice, promotion of healthy social-emotional development, and prevention of challenging behavior in early childhood, after-school, and other education settings. Projects under the Working Together umbrella include Beginning Together: Caring for Infants & Toddlers with Disabilities or Special Needs in Inclusive Settings; California MAP* to Inclusion & Belonging…*Making Access Possible; and the CA CSEFEL Teaching Pyramid.
Working Together team members are specialists in early intervention, mental health, early childhood special education, child development, research and evaluation, and include parents of children with special needs. Team members have strong reputations as leaders in their respective areas.
Beginning Together and the MAP for Inclusion & Belonging projects are funded by the California Department of Education, Early Education and Support Division, with Quality Improvement Funds from the Federal Child Care & Development Fund.
