Institute Information

We are pleased to announce the date for the 2018 Beginning Together: Caring for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities and Special Needs in Inclusive Settings Institute, a Training of Trainers (ToT) that was created in collaboration with the California Department of Education, Early Education and Support Division and WestEd, Center for Child and Family Studies as a follow up to WestEd's Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC).

Beginning Together ToT Institute (also known as 'Module V') focuses on the information and skills needed to include infants and toddlers who have disabilities or special needs in child care and other settings. To attend Beginning Together, PITC graduates must have completed the certification process for Modules I - IV by February 1, 2018.

In addition, an Inclusion Training Seminar will be held simultaneously with the Beginning Together Institute. This seminar is aimed at educators who are not already involved with the PITC modular track but are interested in information on how to include infants and toddlers who have disabilities or other special needs in child care and other settings.
