2018 Beginning Together Institute & Inclusion Training Seminar
Are you interested in learning how to include infants and toddlers who have disabilities or other special needs in your early childhood care settings?
We are pleased to announce that an Inclusion Training Seminar, aimed at educators interested in supporting infants and toddlers with disabilities or other special needs in their programs, will be held for the first time in California on March 5-8, 2018 in San Diego, California. This training is open to anyone who has not already been involved with the Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC) modular track.
For those already versed in PITC, the 2018 Beginning Together: Caring for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities and Special Needs in Inclusive Settings Institute, a Training of Trainers (ToT) also known as Module V, will be held March 4-8 in San Diego.
“Module V” begins where the previous four PITC modules end and focuses on the information and skills needed to include infants and toddlers who have disabilities or special needs. To attend Beginning Together, PITC graduates must have completed the PITC certification process for Modules I – IV by February 1, 2018.
The Beginning Together ToT Institute was created in collaboration with the California Department of Education, Early Education and Support Division and WestEd, Center for Child and Family Studies as a follow up to WestEd’s PITC.
