Hi, I’m from Glenn County and we have been a partner site for a long time

A lot of what we have done is self taught

We are very small and we don’t have a lot of money for trainings

A lot of it was done off the internet, talking with Linda and that kind of thing

We have been struggling a lot the last few years

We’ve had budget cuts and you know, we’ve had a lot of turn over of middle management staff, and so I am probably the only one left that still has had some training in CSEFEL

So we have kind of struggled along the way and I believe in everything that CSEFEL is

It’s a wonderful way of helping children build a foundation for the rest of their lives

So I am the one that is constantly making the charts to give to teachers

I’m the one who says, “Okay you guys, you got to do this stuff! It’s so important!”

And even though the shifts have been where the budgets are cut and there is not enough time I still make all those things

I still make the visual schedule for everybody because it is such an important part of child development with our children because they certainly need that support

The last couple of years have been tough, especially when everyone is moving towards CLASS and doing lots of trainings and focusing on CLASS

I still say “Wait a minute! We got to do this!”

This year I’m so excited that I finally got our staff and our administrators to really believe in it

It’s just a matter of priority and how much money you have and how many days of training you have

We finally got Craig to come up and do a TPOT at one of our sites and also talk to some of our teachers

It was such a great shot in the arm to get people excited again

I brought 10 teachers with me today

So they can hear about it from someone else besides me

I’m hoping to take this back and have Craig come back and do a training in the summer for all of our staff

I really believe that if we can do this with fidelity it’s going to impact our class scores

I think our administration has bought in to that process that yes, this is what we really have to do if we want the other stuff to come
