Supporting Inclusive Early Learning:

Working Together for Inclusion & Belonging

Supporting Inclusive Early Learning provides current information and resources addressing inclusive practice, promotion of healthy social-emotional development, and prevention of challenging behavior in early childhood, after-school, and other education settings. Projects under the Supporting Inclusive Early Learning umbrella include Beginning Together: Caring for Children with Disabilities or Delays in Inclusive Settings; California Making Access Possible (MAP) to Inclusion & Belonging; and the California Teaching Pyramid.

Supporting Inclusive Early Learning team members are specialists in early intervention, mental health, early childhood special education, child development, research and evaluation, and include parents of children with disabilities. Team members have strong reputations as leaders in their respective areas.

Beginning Together and the MAP for Inclusion & Belonging projects are administered by WestEd and is sponsored by the California Department of Social Services, Child Care and Development Division.
