CA Teaching Pyramid Partner Site

Zaca Center Preschool

Zaca Center Preschool began serving children in February 1996. It is an inclusion preschool site providing full-day, half-day, and three-quarter day programs serving children ages 2 to 5 years old. Zaca Center Preschool is one-site consisting of 4 different classrooms. Their philosophy is “learning is a natural on-going process.” Their goal is to create an environment that is “nurturing, secure, and supportive.” They have been implementing the Ca Teaching Pyramid framework since 2019 and became a CA Teaching Pyramid Partner Site in 2021.

Unique implementation of the Pyramid Framework happens first thing in the morning with social-emotional group time using the Teaching Pyramid Materials…Book Nooks, Backpacks and materials from the Teaching Pyramid Kit. This helps to start our day on a positive note—and gives children strategies to use throughout the day sharing expectations, conflict resolution, etc… We also support our parents by providing materials to use at home such as calming kits, picture schedules, social stories.
